Boise Mayor and Climate Mayors Chair, Lauren McLean today issued the following statement in response to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s proposal for an unprecedented new annual fee on electric and hybrid vehicles included in the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill:
“Boiseans and residents across the country are feeling the rising costs of everyday life. For many working families, every dollar matters right now. One of the clearest line items rising for household budgets is fuel price, and when prices rise, families take a closer look on long term costs.
