Western Water Security

The climate crisis threatens countless cities’ water security. Rising temperatures disrupt water cycles, leading to increasingly frequent, intense, and long-lasting droughts. To address this challenge, Climate Mayors launched its first regional cohort: the Western Water Security Cohort co-chaired by Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall. This group engaged mayors across the West to meet this unprecedented moment and turn the tide on water consumption.
