At London Climate Action Week, a delegation organized by America Is All In, Climate Mayors, the U.S. Climate Alliance and Ceres will showcase how cities, states, and the private sector are driving solutions that lower energy costs, reduce climate pollution, and protect public health
Washington D.C., June 17, 2026 — Today, America Is All In, Climate Mayors, the U.S. Climate Alliance and Ceres announced a delegation of U.S. state, city, and business leaders will participate in London Climate Action Week from June 20-28. Together, these U.S. climate leaders are delivering solutions in their communities that are improving lives, cutting pollution and energy costs, and creating good-paying jobs.

U.S. states, cities, and the private sector are cutting energy costs and climate pollution through innovative solutions and technologies, including heat pumps, electric vehicles, rooftop solar, energy efficiency, clean energy incentives, and streamlined permitting. These efforts are paying off with more than 6.4 GW of new clean power capacity in the first quarter of this year. Clean energy is predicted to set a record in 2026, with solar, wind, and battery storage on track to account for 93% of all new capacity in the U.S.
Over the past year, America Is All In, Climate Mayors, and the U.S. Climate Alliance have been working closely with cities and states to strengthen and showcase U.S. actions to curb climate change, including at the Local Leaders Forum during COP30 and now at London Climate Action Week. The America Is All In network has been deeply engaged in building partnerships with leaders around the world, meeting with COP31 officials in Australia, and elevating subnational climate progress on the global stage, including at the Montreal Climate Summit, COP intersessionals in Bonn, and the Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels conference in Santa Marta, Colombia.
“I am determined never to let my country and the world become numb or debilitated by those standing in the way of progress on climate change. Our state and local leaders are working hard every day to lead our clean energy revolution," said Gina McCarthy, Chair of America Is All In’s Managing Chair, 13th U.S. EPA Administrator, and former first White House National Climate Advisor. “Our goal is to give people hope again, to show the strength of our commitment to multilateralism, to forge new partnerships, and to develop creative financing for projects that cut pollution and lower energy costs for communities back home. Together, we will assure the international community that we are still in, and we will not be sidetracked.”
"American mayors are taking the world's stage at London Climate Action Week with a clear message about where our cities are headed on climate: forward. I'm proud to travel to London alongside Mayors Gallego, Higgins, and Buffaloe and our America Is All In partners to show that cities aren't waiting for Washington. Local leaders carry a unique credibility, rooted in their communities' trust, and through their leadership city clean energy policies have expanded under every administration over the past decade. Mayors remain consistent, effective climate actors delivering results and serving as a backstop when Washington retreats," said Climate Mayors Executive Director Kate Wright.
“Columbia, Missouri offers a practical model for climate action that smaller cities around the world can replicate. Residents want to save energy and money on their bills, so Columbia does free home energy assessments for landlords and tenants - building transparency around energy costs and helping residents save money while reducing emissions. Participating in London Climate Action Week will help me identify innovative strategies from international colleagues to bring back to Columbia,” said Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe, Vice-Chair of Climate Mayors.
“Cities across the United States are delivering solutions to improve people's lives—protecting our water resources, making energy more affordable, keeping residents safe from extreme weather events, and shaping a clean energy economy fit for 21st-century American leadership. Mayors are not waiting for federal action but are acting with urgency to build prosperous, resilient cities for residents now and in future generations. This network of mayors and subnational leaders is key to ensuring global action on climate change is informed by the needs of our communities, and that our residents benefit from the jobs and infrastructure of the future,” said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, Chair Emerita of Climate Mayors and C40 Cities Vice Chair.
“As cities experience stronger storms, more frequent flooding, and hotter temperatures, we need all hands on deck. That’s why Miami is wasting no time building a sustainable future for our residents. We’re breaking ground on public projects and implementing solutions now with our future in mind. From improved seawalls to expanded public transit and more affordable housing options, Miami is leading on practical solutions that protect our residents and deliver cost savings for our households and businesses,” said Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins.
“The Alliance is proud to have a quarter of our coalition represented on the global stage at London Climate Action Week. Our message to the world is clear: no matter the headwinds, America's governors are sustaining climate action, accelerating the clean energy transition, and advancing cutting-edge solutions like battery storage and plug-in solar,” said Casey Katims, Executive Director of the U.S. Climate Alliance.
“Companies and investors in the U.S. and around the world are working to build a cleaner, more resilient economy because they recognize the significant benefits of doing so. Business momentum around policy advocacy also continues to grow, with companies across sectors calling for solutions to unlock large-scale renewable energy investments essential to America’s economic competitiveness. Policymakers have an opportunity to accelerate investment in modern energy infrastructure and technologies needed to meet rising demand while keeping costs manageable. At London Climate Action Week, we will spotlight these solutions, recognizing that pragmatic energy policy is critical to maintaining economic leadership and delivering affordable energy to communities and businesses alike,” said Ceres CEO and President Mindy Lubber.
